"CanUDigIt?" is a fun-filled day of learning about gardening thru workshops, vendors, and Make-N-Take. Designed for homeowners, hobby gardeners, professionals or anyone who wishes to expand their knowledge of gardening.

9:30 am - Keynote Speaker - Marshall Dirks - Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Proven Winners. Marshall will present "New Plants for 2017 and Beyond". Learn what it takes to get a plant to market and what plans to look forward to in 2017.
10:30 am - "How to Bring Magic to Your Garden" by Mary Thompson - Learn the myths and legends behind the flowers and herbs you plant and how they bring magic into your garden!
11:30 am - "Dr. Hortfreud is in the Garden" by Carol Michel - Have you heard the saying, "Gardening is cheaper than therapy?" Explore the benefits of gardening - physically, mentally and spiritually, with a mix of humor.
Lunch on your own- Food will be available for purchase.
2:00 pm - "Trip to Smallville" by Jo Ellen Meyers Sharp - Check off your packing list as you take this journey with Jo Ellen with tips to right size your garden.
3:00 pm - "Plant This Instead" by Troy B. Marden - Be creative in your gardening by exploring better plant choices you should know.
4:00 pm - "Invasive Plants" by Beverly James - Arm Yourself with the knowledge to make wise decisions by recognizing invasive species.
"Make - N- Take" - Kokedama
Kokedama is a traditional Japanese garden art form. It is a ball of soil, covered with moss, on which an ornamental plant grows. You can make this anytime during the day but pre-registration with payment is required. There is a limited number available.
You will have time to shop over 20 vendors! Items such as garden art, books, plant material, tools, and more will be available!

A great way to have fun is to participate in the Silent Auction! There will be many unique garden items!

Jo Ellen Meyers Sharp is a popular garden speaker; television and radio guest; writer; author; garden coach; secretary of Garden Writers Association; & works at a large independent garden center.
Troy B. Marden hosts Volunteer Gardener on Nashville Public Television, is a popular lecturer, and an avid photographer.
Beverly James is the Preserve Manager of Floracliff Nature Sanctuary in Lexington and has a BS degree in Natural Resource Conservation and Management from UK.
